The module covers the basics tenets required for an understanding of
mathematics and how it is applied to economics, finance and business. To ensure
this aim is achieved, the module covers introduction to algebra, sets and set
operations, graphs and functions, simultaneous equations, quadratics, linear
equations, differentiation and partial differentiation, integration,
exponential function, matrix algebra, sequences and series, combination
analysis and complex numbers (algebraic form).
