The aim of the module is to introduce mathematical concepts related to each unit in order to present necessary knowledge and skills required for engineers to be competent in performing various engineering works. The module is composed of four units namely: Ordinary differential Equations (ODEs), Partial Differential Equations (PDEs), Boundary Values Problems (BVP) and Integral Transforms.
This module is about the study of building construction and building amenities.
The online teaching will cover 80% and the remaining percentage (20%) will be covered face to face at campus after the re-open.

The main aim is to develop an understanding of mechanical properties of materials, behavior of different types of materials and geometrical properties of sections. It introduces stress and strain characteristics and their application in engineering field. Experimental tests, particularly under tension, compression, shear, bending, etc. are performed to strengthen the theory on mechanical properties of some engineering materials and their behavior.
