English for Science and Technology / Français pour Science et Technologie

The course aims at developing students’ analytical skills, critical thinking, understanding and decoding science or technology related materials; develop and practice the four basic skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing, write assignments, memos, business letters, application letters, resumes/CVs, good paragraphs and long essays on field specific topics; use English for communicative purposes.

Having successfully completed the module, students should be able to

i. Listen with comprehension to LETURERS, TOEFL based materials A.2 Read TOEFL based materials

ii. TOEFL Essay writing, report memos and letter writing,

iii. Listen with comprehension to TOEFL based materials;

iv. Do oral presentation, public speaking, participate in discussions; B.3 Read for critical appreciation and thinking

v. Take notes, Paraphrase, write reports and essays on field specific topics,
