This module covers techniques of writing a research proposal, dimensions and design of research techniques for data collection, data processing, analysis and interpretation of data.

The purpose of this course is to introduce students to land administration and draw their attention to the benefits that society can reap from a good land administration system.


Module Aim and Description:This module aims to familiarize learners with the fundamental principles and practices of the real estate market and the functions of real estate agencies. Through theoretical knowledge and practical applications, learners will gain insight into the dynamics of property markets, agency relationships, and the ethical and legal responsibilities associated with real estate transactions.


The purpose of this course is to introduce students to land administration and draw their attention to the benefits that society can reap from a good land administration system.

This module  provides an introduction to the subject of Property Valuation,  a definition of the valuation requirements (i.e. the valuation subject, purpose and date, and the value to be estimated) is provided. In this module a focus is made on the several basis of value, in particular distinguishing between Market Value, Investment Value and other commonly used definitions. Finally, a brief description is given of the leading associations that operate in the field of Property Valuation and aim to raise operating standards and standardise international valuation practices.

The main objective of this module is to help students integrate knowledge gained throughout the course, to achieve a higher order learning process and to apply this to solve typical problems in land administration. This module also aims at promoting self awareness, problem identification and solving and critical thinking through regular discussions between the student and their supervisor. 

Each student will be supervised by a fulltime member of staff who, through weekly or more frequent meetings with the student, will provide guidance and critical discussion of the work.
