Research and Thesis Module
This final module of the Master of Science in Biomedical Laboratory Sciences program is worth 60 credits and is divided into two key components:
- Research Proposal: Development of a comprehensive research proposal outlining objectives, methodology, and the study's relevance.
- Thesis and Publications: Execution of the research project, preparation of a thesis, and dissemination of findings through scientific publications.
Module Aim and Objectives
The module aims to enable students to conduct a research project within a clinical laboratory or research institution. It provides the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge of research methods in practical settings through internships and research projects.
Students will:
- Apply theoretical concepts to real-world research.
- Demonstrate personal initiative and independent thinking to devise problem-solving strategies.
- Develop and refine skills necessary for conducting research projects effectively.
This module is designed to equip students with the expertise to independently design, execute, and communicate impactful research in Biomedical Laboratory Sciences.
