
Course Outcomes
By the end of this course, students should be able to:
1. Identify and explain the legal principles governing specific contracts, including contracts of sale, lease, loan, deposit, mandate, partnership, and suretyship.
2. Distinguish between general contract law principles and the special rules applicable to particular types of contracts.
3. Analyze the essential elements, characteristics, and effects of different specific contracts under applicable law.
4. Interpret and apply statutory provisions and relevant case law governing specific contracts to practical legal problems.
5. Assess the rights and obligations of parties in various contractual relationships.
6. Evaluate remedies available in case of breach of specific contracts, including damages, termination, and specific performance.
7. Draft and review basic contractual clauses relating to specific contracts in compliance with legal requirements.
8. Critically examine contemporary legal issues arising in specific contractual relationships.
