This module exposes learners to the application of Engineering surveying in the planning, design, construction, and monitoring of engineering infrastructures. The student will learn the methods and techniques to set out different engineering infrastructures.
This course deals with the management of errors in surveying measurements. A thorough analysis of the nature and propagation of random errors in surveying measurements will be presented. Available adjustment techniques with a greater emphasis on the least squares adjustment technique will be discussed.

The course of 10 credits is intended to provide the student of level III land survey with an overview of the relevance of hydrographic surveying in the determination of the shape of the earth under water bodies and how it relates to topographical mapping on dry land
