This module aims to introduce students to the process of legal reasoning and analysis and enable them to acquire legal skills in understanding, interpreting and applying sources of information as regards to contract law. It shall focus on the main theoretical underpinnings of contract law and to appreciate the relationship between contract law and the other branches of the civil law. In addition, the course will look into agency law and delve into the role of agency relationships as one of the key areas of real estate law.

This module is an applied course in valuation of residential, commercial and industrial properties. The module is designed to introduce students to enable learners to plan and execute of appraisal of value of real properties.

Module Objectives:  Introduce the concept of value;  Carry out real estate appraisal; and  Report real estate value.

The module has different learning outcomes and indicative content.

This module covers techniques of writing a research proposal, dimensions and design of research techniques for data collection, data processing, analysis and interpretation of data.

1.Apply appropriate research techniques and tools for writings an acceptable research proposal/project;

2.Know how to write and present a research proposal/project;

3.Understand how to write a research report.
