PHY1101-Engineering Physics

Understanding civil engineering modules requires a good background in physics. This module has been designed in order to equip students with a good background in physics needed for their career in civil engineering. Classical mechanics, elasticity, oscillations and waves, thermodynamics and optics are some of the important foundations for civil engineering. Elements of these components of physics that are relevant to civil engineering are highlighted in this module.
